Project description

Although about one in 100 children globally has autism — and this number continues to grow — New York-based startup RethinkFirst discovered that despite hundreds of available tech solutions, the healthcare industry still needed one that would truly empower neurodiverse people and caregivers with treatment tools, training, and clinical support.

However, they soon began to experience the constraints of their cloud-based architecture, prompting them to seek a development partner capable of modernizing the platform.

Bringing together four cross-functional teams, we first redesigned the solution’s frontend and created a unified library of UI components for faster delivery of new features.

Next, we migrated billing and scheduling functionality to microservices to increase scalability and reduce costs. We also added a payment posting feature for improved revenue cycle management and shorter denial resolution.

Additionally, we took special care to help clinicians manage multiple diagnoses, as well as enable nonprofits to pay bills directly on the platform — elevating the user experience across the entire customer journey.

The result

Shortly after we partnered, Inc. Magazine recognized RethinkFirst as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private businesses.

Most importantly, the company now has the new technology and skills to not only achieve, but also sustain high performance for years to come — better serving thousands of clients globally, including nearly one-third of Fortune 100 corporations.
